We see or hear about different challenges within our youth everyday. We want to be that opportunity, that support and be one of the guidances that they need today. In unique situations that we may find ourselves in, we are invested in an innovative approach that empowers our youth community and delivers the support they need, when they need it.
Family is the source within our youth today. we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the youth community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at Smiley's Sweets Corporation, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization. Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field to make sure that we are giving back to the ones that need that extra help. Such as the less fortunate, the elderly and children with special needs.
Programs
Let Us See The Masterpiece In You. Get all of your emotions out through expression in art. Some individuals do not want to talk or are unable to. Express yourself by putting your feelings on canvas.
Smiley's Sweets has partnered with Forsyth County Community Service Program to help individuals with their hours needed from the court system. We give them having hands on task to participate in through various organizations and events.
Coming together through music as a community with fellowship, food, games, and prizes
Experience different types of food through workshops and demonstrations. This program also teaches youth how to prepare simple meals. Some meals can be made without turning on a stove or oven. This is an 11 week class. Completion results in graduation and a diploma.
Youth learn about the outline of fishing. We providing a starter pack that consist of a rod, tackle box and accessories. Become part of a Fishing Fundraiser, meet professional anglers, game wardens and more!
Feeding and fellowship with the less fortunate. An annual block party, rotating Mother's and Father's Day. The youth will work with staff our staff. This gives them the opportunity to recognize and be thankful for what they have. It teaches them how to be a blessing to others.
This program is the stepping stone to success for the youth to learn how to dress for success. We show them how to fill out job applications properly, create resumes, and cover letters. A souvenir bag from a country that they would like to visit is provided and goals are put in place to make that happen.
Men of the community. Coming together with workshops, community chats and job fairs.
Women of the community come together to talk about different real world subjects. Discussions pertain to life changing events, challenges in their lives, and things that they would like to see change in their community.
This program is the heart of the foundation. Where all the meals, groups, field trips, retreats, community and holiday activities for the entire family is organized. Meals will be provided for the children in the communities on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays after tutoring. Coming together with love, respect and integrity.
We give young ladies a makeover to help boost their self-esteem. All items are theirs to keep. This program also works with the business for success.
Bringing the family together for a day of fun and entertainment, all while cheering on their pets. We sponsor a pet show with local vendors and businesses, where the pet of the family is the star of the day. ​
A summer program where the youth have the opportunity to discuss things that are concerning, need to change, or would like to see happen in their communities. They will participate in special activities such as podcasting, fundraising, trips, and more!
This program donates 100 treats to three different charities each year. Charities that recognize special needs areas in children and adults. This program is also apart of the Easy Cooking program.
Through our program we help the youth get to their designated places, such as work, school, and home. They are able to receive transportation, gas cards, and bus passes.
